The Mentrau Iaith has a network of local partners across Wales that work closely together to support and promote Welsh as a community language.

We also work in partnership with a variety of national bodies to share knowledge, ideas, experience and resources to promote the Welsh language.

Urdd Gobaith Cymru

Urdd Gobaith Cymru was established in 1922 to give children and young people the chance to learn and socialise in the Welsh language. Today, the Urdd has over 50,000 members between 8 and 25 years old.


S4C is the only Welsh language television channel in the world. As a public service broadcaster, it commissions independent producers from across Wales to make the majority of its programmes

Mudiad Meithrin is a voluntary organisation and is the main provider of Welsh-medium early years care and education in the voluntary sector
