In partnership with Swansea City AFC Community Trust, Menter Iaith Abertawe have announced a new Ysgol Bel-droed, football school for kids aged 8 to 11 years. This June and July local children will have the chance to learn footy skills while meeting new friends from other schools and socialising in Welsh.

Tomos Jones, Menter Iaith Abertawe Chief Officer says;

“We’ve very glad to work with the Swans on this exciting project. It’s an opportunity for youngsters in the area to enjoy using their Welsh out on the pitch. Partnerships like this are also a great way for us to reach a new audience.”

Participants will have the chance to be coached by some of Swansea City AFC coaches. 6th formers from local schools will also be helping out, so it will be a great opportunity for year 6 pupils to get to know some familiar faces before they move up to Secondary School this September.

The first session is held on Thursday, 17th of Juny at 17:00.
