Mentrau Iaith Cymru (an organisation that supports the work of the 23 mentrau iaith across Wales) has created a series of phrase cards to be distributed to business’ in every corner of Wales, be it shops, pubs, cafes and offices in an attempt to encourage more people to use Welsh.

The phrase cards have been created to celebrate Shwmae Su’mae Day held on the 15th of October this year – a day that encourages everyone in Wales to live, learn and enjoy Welsh.

Meirion Davies, Chair of Mentrau Iaith Cymru said:

“These phrase cards offer a great opportunity for us to encourage more people to learn Welsh and use as much Welsh as they have whilst going about their daily lives.

Confidence in speaking Welsh can sometimes affect the amount of Welsh people use in their daily lives. We aim to try and break down those barriers with these phrase cards and create an environment where more people can, and do use Welsh on a daily basis.”

The phrase cards can be downloaded from the right side of this page and please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
