IMPORTANT UPDATE

Unfortunately, this grant scheme will not go ahead this year.

With the ongoing effects of Covid19, the fund is no longer available, and so we will not be able to accept any applications for 2020-21.

However, MIC will continue to promote Welsh language music in the community through alternative mediums. We hope the fund will be open again in the future.

UPDATE:
In response to the Coronavirus developments, MIC has decided to move the deadline to June 30th, 2020.

MIC will be reassessing the situation over the coming months but at the moment we believe it is important that there are festivals for the community to look forward to when we come out of this uncertain time.

Festivals canceled in the spring of this year will have the opportunity to apply for the grant in 2021.

MIC will be modifying the Amodau document in the coming weeks to reflect this change.

MIC is looking to promote community festivals with an emphasis on Welsh popular music by offering financial support to local organisations and groups. Grants of up to £ 5,000 will be available to help them organise and run an activity that contributes to greater use of the Welsh language in the community.

Applications deadline: March 31, 2020
