Welsh-medium Education Campaign
This week the Welsh Government launched their latest campaign to raise awareness of Welsh-medium and bilingual education and bilingual.
The Live in Wales: Learn in Welsh campaign’s main objective is to raise awareness of Welsh Medium education and bilingualism so that parents and guardians consider the options available to them. The campaign will include various elements such as advertisement in the local and national media. There will also be special events in Caerphilly, Rhyl, Merthyr Tudfil and Llanelli.
Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones explains the reasons for the campaign:
“Parents aren’t always aware of Welsh Medium schools or they struggle to receive information regarding Welsh-medium and bilingual schools. This campaign will last for three years and will raise awareness around Welsh Medium schools and bilingual education so that parents can make the decision based on all the information they have received.”
