On Wednesday the 30th of October Menter Iaith Conwy and the EGNI project officers visited the Clydach Valley to discuss their latest project. They received a warm welcome in Clydach from Keith Richards and received a tour around the Clydach Countryside Park observing the 60-kilowatt Micro Hydro Turbine. They then moved on to Merthyr to discuss the possibility of using Hydro energy in the local area. They were greeted in the Sohar Centre by Liz Mclean and others to experiment the possibilities. Producing Green energy would certainly benefit the community and bring some much needed revenue into the area. We look forward to hearing how the project develops.
