On the 20th of June 2015, Meirion Davies, our National Chair and Menter Iaith Conwy’s Director of Development took part in the Quebrantahuesos Sportive (“Bone Breaker”!) in the mountains of the Pyrenees.

The race is considered one of the most difficult in Europe, climbing over 3500 meters “the hight of 3 Snowdons” in Meirion’s words himself. Meirion succeeded in completing the race within 7 hours and 26 minutes.

Meirion said:

“I’m riding to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of my late mother in law, Gwyneth Mair Williams. A warm, kind and special person who died of this terrible disease in August 2013.”

“There is no cure for Motor Neurone Disease and the funds raised will go towards important research to help scientists understand and treat this cruel disease.”

Meirion would like to thank you all for your support.
