Mentrau Iaith Cymru’s Annual Conference

 

We look forward to welcoming the Chairs and Chief Officers of the 22 Mentrau Iaith to our annual Conference on the 11th – 12th November. The two day conference will include discussions, learning sessions as well as interaction sessions with fellow members from all the Mentrau Iaith aross Wales. The Mentrau meet regularly to share information and offer ideas and the conference is a way for the Mentrau to develop ideas and gain stronger links with their partners and with each other.

 

  • This year’s conference programme is varied and exciting and provides a wide variety of activities and guest speakers, including:

-Opening address by the First Minister Carwyn Jones, AM

-Evening address by Betsan Powys, Editor of BBC Radio Cymru

-Presentation by Meri Huws, Welsh Language Commissioner

-Presentation by the Welsh language unit, Welsh Government

-Welsh language Labour Market – idea sharing and discussion session

-Presentations by the Mentrau Iaith on innovative projects

-Research into Welsh language use in everyday life by Carys Evans, Head of Research, S4C

-Services and support to the Mentrau by Busnes Cymru
