The Mentrau Iaith across Wales will continue their digital Welsh language children’s offer during the summer holidays to ensure fun opportunities to use Welsh at home.

As well as the national Brwydr y Bwgan Brain (Sacrecrow Showdown) competition and the Clwb Theatr Cymru for children in association with Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, there will be a host of activities from individual initiatives such as story and song time, video games club, fun game time, discos, quizzes and more.

Lowri Jones, Chair of Mentrau Iaith Cymru, says;

Mentrau Iaith the length and breadth of Wales have been very busy, offering a huge variety of opportunities for people of all ages to enable them to use their Welsh during this difficult period. We have succeeded in doing this by means of technology, enabling thousands of people to use the language in all kinds of clubs, classes and festivals. We are delighted to be able to continue to offer a variety of activities for children of all ages to be able to use their Welsh while enjoying the holidays.”

With over 300 videos on Mentrau Iaith’s Youtube playlists, over 700 various activities on the Welsh Home Activities Facebook group, and a busy events calendar on the www.mentrauiaith.cymru website, the Mentrau Iaith network is confident that there is something for everyone in every part of the country.

In order to share information about Welsh language activities for children over the summer the Mentrau Iaith will support the Welsh Government and Cymraeg for Kids campaign by using #HafLlawnCymraeg #SummerFullOfWelsh
