Gwirfoddoli _ Volunteer-2

With volunteers a large part of the 22 Menter Iaith in Wales, we want to celebrate the hard work the volunteers do for the Welsh language in our communities.

The #GwirfoddolwyrYGymraeg campaign on social media will recognise the enthusiastic volunteers that help increase the use of the language in the community.

Marged Rhys, Mentrau Iaith Cymru Development Officer, says;

“Volunteers are such an important part for any community. Sometimes people don’t realise that they’re volunteering, whether by being part of a community council, stewarding at events, or leading choirs. We want to use International Volunteers Day to celebrate the work these people do for our communities with the #GwirfoddolwyrYGymraeg campaign and encourage more people to volunteer, whether with their local Menter Iaith or not, with this video”
